Below given are the custom variations available on Portal. All containers should be defaulted to "Responsive View" and selected from the container configuration. At a high level, we have below-listed variations available and can be applied on Containers with Profiles:
- "Default": By default, the Container is a FULL WIDTH CONTAINER. Any Container or Component if dropped on the Page will take end-to-end width on the page.
- "1 Column": This Container Type is used when the Web content is a Single content on the fragment. If the container with this type is put directly on the page then it would leave spacer on the LEFT and RIGHT sides of the Container.
- "2 Column": This Container Type is used when the Web content requires spacing to the LEFT and RIGHT, and requires the Content placement to be broken into 2 separate sections.
- "3 Column": This Container Type is used when the Web content requires spacing to the LEFT and RIGHT, and requires the Content placement to be broken into 3 separate sections.
- "4 Column": This Container Type is used when the Web content requires spacing to the LEFT and RIGHT, and requires the Content placement to be broken into 4 separate sections.
Below is the procedure to be followed where we have a View for a fragment in which the component is having an end-to-end colored view, and then there is a 1 Column component or 2 column components used. For this scenario, the below-given procedure should be followed:
- Add Container on the Page.
- Add the Color [Grey or Blue] policy on this container.
- Add another container above the one, and add the policy to this container as required i.e., 1 Column, 2 Column, 80:20 Column, etc.
There are other possibilities also available, like choosing the background color, transforming the container to a curved shape, adding Inner/Outer spacing, or adding a Separator. A snapshot of available formats is available at URL.
